Killingworth fc - proud of our facilities

Amberley Park is home to Killingworth Football Club and we are proud of our amazing facilities and the work put in by our club volunteers to maintain them. The club has invested heavily in recent years and we now have an updated clubhouse with classroom and changing facilities as well as a licensed bar and kitchen to serve a selection of snacks and hot foods as well as various refreshments. We have our floodlit 3g as well as our senior's pitch alongside numerous grass pitches that enable us to host various formats of the game.

As a club, we want Amberley Park and the facilities here to be a community hub that can be utilised by all, whether that is a safe space to enjoy and develop as a footballer, a venue to hold a meeting or community event or simply somewhere to call into and enjoy a cuppa!

The Pitches

Killingworth FC are extremeley lucky to have our very own flood lit 3G pitch - the pitch can be split in to half or quarter pitches and is used to facilitate both winter training and matches for our teams, therefore ensuring that we are able to train in almost all weathers as well as trying to protect our grass pitches so we can maximise their availability through the winter months. The 3G is also available for private hire - to book please get in touch via our contact page

In addition to our 3G we also have our senior team's pitch along with numerous grass pitches located around the site. With such a large area and the ability to mark out pitches to the various size requirements of junior grassroots football, Amberley Park becomes a lively football venue each weekend throughout the season!

The vast area and excellent facilities also make it a perfect venue to host tournaments, events and corporate sports days - for further information and availability please get in touch via our contact page

The club has invested heavily in our pitches. Our Head of Pitch Maintenance, Steve Crawford has managed to secure funding from The Football Foundation through Pitchpower and works closely with the Northumberland FA and recognised suppliers to make sure that we do all we can to ensure the pitches are playable for the maximum amount of time throughout the season. Steve works tirelessly along with other club volunteers from pre-season, all the way through to the final games, club open sessions and off season!

Part of the pitch maintenance schedule is pitch marking and the club has now also invested in a 'Turf Tank' - a gps, pitch marking robot that is not only extremely accurate, it is also efficient in terms of time and the amount of paint used compared to traditional pitch marking methods. Another feature of the Turf Tank is it's ability to 'write' or 'draw' on or alongside a pitch, therefore opening up potential sponsorship and advertising opportunities!

The club is now offering a pitch marking service using the Turf Tank - whether you are interested in advertising or sponsoring one of the Killy pitches with your company name or for prices and availability for us to come and mark pitches at your club - please get in touch by contacting  pitches@killingworthfc.com

The Clubhouse

The Killy Clubhouse hosts two classroom/meeting rooms that can be utilised by our grassroots teams to hold theory sessions or team meetings. Throughout the day, one of our classrooms is utilised by Pro:Direct Academy to deliver the teaching part of the education programme whilst the other classroom remains available to hire for community meetings or classes. The classrooms are equipped with multiple power sockets, wifi, desks and seating with further resources available on request.

The main area of the Killy Clubhouse hosts our fully licensed BAR1980 alongside Leanne's Cafe making it it the ideal place to grab a pre or post match snack and drink. We also have our pool table and dart board to keep you entertained plus multiple TVs with both Sky and TNT Sports to ensure you don't miss a minute of the action!

Looking for somewhere to host a private party or event? The Killy Clubhouse is available for a hire with a range of options available - for more information, please get in touch via our contact page
